Super Bowl Xli Commercials

Super Bowl XLI Commercial

One of the most ironic of Superbowl XLI commercials, was a piece put together by the NFL Network television station. The setting is a party at Chad Johnson’s home, a self-obsessed, multi-millionaire football player. A whole slew of unlikely characters are in attendance at this party, including many stars from various walks of life. NFL football star Warren Sapp, former Attorney General Janet Reno, comedian Jimmy Fallon, and some random kid in a Bears jersey are clustered together watching the game. These characters seem to have nothing in common with one another, but nonetheless, seem to be enjoying one another’s company. This commercial is laced with bizarre twists and odd situations. One of these twists places Martha Stewart in the kitchen with rapper LL Cool J and another man. After reaching into a grocery bag, Martha asked the man where the cilantro is and becomes disappointed when she finds out he bought the wrong herb for the recipe she was working with. Softly, LL Cool J mocks the man, calling him a “rookie.” The next scene returns to the couch where some are watching the game. After a hard tackle in the game, Jimmy Fallon cringes and says, “Mean hit.” Janet Reno responds shrewdly by saying, “Mean but clean, Jimmy.” Jimmy lowers his head after her words and says, “Yes Ma’am.”

Super Bowl XLI Commercials

Superbowl XLI commercials don’t get much more humorous than the Chad Johnson spoof done by the NFL Network. The cameras capture Chad greeting guests flowing into his home, including members of the country music band Rascal Flatts, a rather improbable invite. The collection of stars in this commercial is wide and diverse. In the final scene, British soccer star and heart-throb David Beckham is shown talking with a man. He tells the man that he is a professional “football” player for Los Angeles, because in every country outside of America, soccer is known as football. Not picking up on this fact, the man responds, “I don’t know if it’s gonna fly at this party, but I like it.” He assumed Beckham was exaggerating for the sake of upping his status at the party.

Review Of Super Bowl XLI Commercials

Among the Super Bowl XLI Commercials, the one featuring David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey ranks near the top of the list of most humorous. Tightly squeezed together on a couch, Letterman sits with his hand around Oprah, who is leaning into him in a cuddle position. Letterman lets out, “You want the Bears and I want the Colts, but we both win because we’re in love.” She promptly responds to him after he spoke with chips falling out of his mouth, “Honey, don’t talk with your mouth full.”
