Super Bowl Betting
Super Bowl Betting
Before the NFL season begins, odds for the Super Bowl have already been posted on thousands of betting sites. Super Bowl XLII will happen at Cardinals Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 3, 2008. The only time a Super Bowl was held here, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-17 in 1996, making it their fifth championship title. Super Bowl betting will redistribute billions of dollars.
Super Bowl Bet
In 2008, Super Bowl betting will be strong as the New England Patriots are a favorite to grab the title this year, with 8/5 odds. They are predicted to take the Lombardi Trophy back from the Indianapolis Colts, who beat the Chicago Bears in last year’s tight title game. Just behind New England in odds this year is the San Diego Chargers, whose odds are 6/1 to take home the crown. Rounding out the top twelve are the Colts, at 15/2; the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears, at 14/1; the Cincinnati Bengals, at 15/1; the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49’ers, at 18/1; and the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, and Seattle Seahawks, at 20/1. At the bottom five teams are the Detroit Lions, at 70/1; the Oakland Raiders, at 75/1; the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills, at 100/1; and the Cleveland Browns, at 125/1. These bottom-feeding teams will see little action compared to the teams above them. An interesting fact about two of these teams is that neither the Detroit Lions, nor the Arizona Cardinals have ever been pre-season favorites to win the Super Bowl in its 41-year history.

Bet On Super Bowl
Online betting companies have a broad range when it comes to the minimum or maximum amount of dollars you can place on one bet. Generally, bets from $1-$100,000 are most commonly accepted in Super Bowl betting; offers that exceed those amounts are few and far between. It is estimated that three-quarters of all workplaces have some sort of office pool. Buying “squares” is the most popular form of inter-office betting. Squares does not require much skill to play; an 80 year old woman who has never watched a football game in her life has just about as good a chance as an ex-NFL player does at this game. To play squares, you choose a number inside a 10x10 square of boxes; there is a number inside each box. To win, you must guess the last number of the number of points scored by both teams in each of the four quarters. Bets are often low, but accumulate. Winnings are distributed to the winner of each quarter. For example, if last year’s first quarter total of points totaled 14 between the Bears and the Colts, then the player with the four in their square for the first quarter wins that quarter’s pot.
