NFL

The NFL is short for the National Football league. The NFL is what most people know it as and it's a league that has professional football teams that battle from September to February to be crowned the Super Bowl Champion. The NFL struggled in the early years as they tried to find their niche and over the years they have continued to grow into what we have now. Expansion has been a big part of their growth and the ratings for the NFL is at an all-time high. The NFL draft is on cable networks and people actually sit to watch and see who their favorite team will draft. You would think people have better things to do, but this is the power of the NFL. More and more fans are heading to the games and even watching them on television. The growth of the NFL has been steadily growing and it's poised to be the number on sport in the United States even overtaking baseball it seems. The NFL has got an exciting product with top stars who promote the game to a younger crowd which helps the sport grow even more. The NFL for the most part have been scandal free which helps make the sport grow even more.

Steroids have been creeping into the NFL in recent years and they are working on cleaning it up, but that will take some time it seems. The NFL values their product and what they give to the fans so any black mark on the league really hurts them and they seem to take care of it rather quickly. The NFL is looking to expand into the World market by playing some regular season games overseas in the future. The NFL isn't just local the NFL is global and they understand that and are working to expand it even more. The NFL is always looking to branch off into other markets and they did with NFL Europe. They recently have pulled the plug on it after this past season, but that shows you they are committed to expanding the game past the borders of the United States. I look for that expansion to continue and it wouldn't surprise me to see a team in Canada in the not so distant future or maybe a team in the Canadian Football league based in Canada. It will be interesting to see what the NFL has up it's sleeve next.
