Houston Texans

The Houston Texans? Many people who don't follow the NFL really don't know the story of the Houston Texans and the story behind them. Let's go over it real quick so we can better understand where we are at. The Houston Oilers were the original team in Houston, but the own Bud Adams decided to move the team to Tennessee when a deal couldn't be worked out on a new stadium. The NFL than eventually gave the city of Houston another franchise which is named the Houston Texans. The Houston Texans ride in the NFL has really been a bumpy one for the most part. When you start from scratch and try to field a competitive team to start it's very tough. The Houston Texans though for their first few years field a decent team, but in recent years have went downhill. Everything in new to this franchise and just like Cleveland it will take time for this franchise to get it going in the right direction. The Houston Texans message boards are full of hope and encouragement but the facts are they aren't a very good football team right now.

Building for the future takes time and hopefully Houston Texans fans can understand that. They drafted David Carr as their quarterback number one and that hasn't worked out and now they are starting someone else. With the NFL you never know what can happen and how the season could go. The Texans are moving in the right direction by drafting the right people and getting them in places for long term success. Their biggest problem is they are so far behind because they are a new franchise. It will take time to get the learning curve down. once they do they will be competitive and start to get more wins year after year. Houston Texans fans will just have to be patient and everything will work out for them. Houston Texans football has come a long way so far and I'm sure it will continue to improve and bring Houston a championship sometime in the near future. It takes time to build a franchise up and when you start with nothing it takes some time to grow it into a winner. The fans of Houston just need to be patient while they work things out.
